NDDC - politicians threatens National Assembly probe.
Updated 05/11/2020

A group of Ex-militants have warned some top politicians in the country to stop the threats their making over the N40bn alleged fraud in the NDDC which the National Assembly is trying to investigate.

The Coordinator of the group, Odudoh Okpokiri, on Sunday, called on politicians interested in the NDDC for the wrong reasons, to stop their threats and blackmail and desist from employing fake militants who try to sabotaged the plans of the National Assembly.

In a statement made by the group, they never asked the National Assembly to stop the probe for they would not stand against the government in doing so because the country is affected by corruption.
They have called on Nigerians to ignore it for they are just "empty threats".

The group knows its members and any threat against the NDDC is not from any of the members for they have been owed commission for many years and would not threaten anyone. It is willing to support any move made by President Buhari to make the region better by appointing a Forensic Auditor to audit NDDC's account and that government should pay attention to the people's plights.

The Conscience of the Niger Delta wants the commission to work for the people of the region as it will not stand against anything that will make the place better and that politicians can not use them to settle their own issues, because everybody is tired of the corruption in the country.
The group urged politicians to allow the Anti-Corruption agencies to carry out their duties.

The Ex-militants Group wondered why the President and founder of Citizen's Quest Initiative, Oby Ndukwe, who said there were no fraud committed  by the present Interim Management Committee, would stop the investigation instead of encouraging others to confirm her claim by letting the National Assembly go on with the investigation.
